Michelada – The Mexican Bloody Mary Recipe
Add a little spice to your life with a Michelada. The perfect balance of tomato, lime, hot sauce and an ice cold beer.

For the Salty Rim
- 2 teaspoons sea salt or coarse salt
- ½ teaspoon chili seasoning mix
For the Drink:
- 6 ounces tomato juice - or Bloody Mary Mix
- ¼ cup lime juice - 2 to 3 limes
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce - vegan
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce - you may add more after trying the finished product
- 12 ounces beer - your favorite, I used Dos Equis
- 3 green olives - optional for garnish
- 1 wedge lime - optional for garnish
For the Rim:
Mix the salt and chili seasoning in a saucer and spread wider than the rim of the glass.
Use a lime wedge and rub around the rim of each glass.
Hold the glass from the bottom and move straight down and place into the salt/chili seasoning mix. Lift and set aside.
For the Drink:
Pour all of the drink ingredients into a large pitcher and mix.
Fill up the glass with ice.
Pour the mixed drink over the ice.
Serve with olives and lime wedges for a little extra fun.
