Notes
No kidding - so good and perfect for a lift me up.A strawberry smoothie is a perfect way to start the day or just to freshen up throughout the day. It is packed with flavor and who could have told you that something healthy can taste so good? This is a straightforward recipe without unnecessary philosophy. Still, if you are looking for a way to boost your smoothie here is what you can add:
Almond butter – the almond butter goes well with strawberries. Use 1 tbsp
Vanilla extract – use ¼ tsp of vanilla extract to enhance the flavor
Mint – add a few fresh leaves of mint for extra freshness
Cocoa powder – if you are looking for something more chocolatey
Smoothie storage?Smoothies are best consumed immediately, but this smoothie will be kept in a refrigerator overnight in a mason jar or sealed in a container. Just shake it up and you are good to go.Can I freeze a smoothie? You can freeze smoothie or smoothie ingredients for up to 3 months. For the ingredients, just add them to a food processor and allow them to rest for 15 minutes before processing. If you want to freeze the smoothie, pour it into an ice cube tray and freeze until solid. Transfer the smoothie cubes to a freezer-friendly bag and store. To serve, pop the smoothie cubes in a food processor, let them stand for a few minutes, and process until smooth again. Can I use frozen strawberries?I used fresh strawberries for this one, but if not in season or cannot find one then frozen will work just as well.
