Homemade Pita Bread

1 1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup whole wheat flour

1/2 teaspoon sugar

INGREDIENTS

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 tablespoon active dry yeast

water

stir in the wet

lightly combine the dry ingredients with the wet  to make a light non sticky dough

STEP 1

mix the dough ingredients into a smooth ball and let sit in a warm place for 1-2 hours

STEP 2

STEP 3

divide the dough into 6 balls and let rest 15 minutes.

roll into 6" to 7" balls and bake at 425 degrees F. for 3 to 4 minutes

STEP 4

you can make 6 smaller pita rounds or 4 larger pita rounds
