Just writing up this paragraph is making me want to stop, right now, and go in and make another one of these delicious smoothies. I’d take a big delicious gulp and then I’d slow it down and enjoy it for as long as possible.
I’d like to say that I created this recipe but, actually, a friend of mine did. In fact, she created 40 of them and wrapped them all up in a nice handy book.

You not only can drink your greens but you can drink your fruit right along at the same time. The recipes are so clever and satisfying. You probably already know Becky because she runs the blog Glue and Glitter and is a powerhouse behind her recipes and videos.
It is really wonderful that Becky gave me the ‘go-ahead’ to post one of her recipes in full. Now I get to share it with all of you. Mexican Iced Chocolate Smoothie
- 1 banana
- 1/4 cup spinach fresh, you can use up to 1/2 cup
- 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
- 1 cup non dairy milk
- 1 tablespoon flax meal
- pinch cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
- dash cayenne pepper
- 4 ice cubes
- Put all into a blender and blend until smooth.
