If you usually love to start your day with heart-healthy oatmeal or something small to go with your coffee or tea then this recipe is for you!
Everyone has those days where you don’t have enough time to make that larger morning meal to give your body the energy it needs and keep you going until at least lunch.
Sometimes getting your kids fed and out of the door for school while you are trying not to be late for work is a challenge by itself. Let alone making a good breakfast for yourself.
But I also know that most of us are trying to be healthy whenever we can. A couple of these snack bars are high in protein and can keep you going easily until your mid-morning snack or early lunch.
So whether you are currently very busy with the start of a new career, family, school, traveling, or just keeping up with technology, you don’t want to forget taking good care of yourself.
And a healthy start of the day is part of that! These bars also freeze really well so they can be your friend in the future too.
I am completely addicted to making these snack bars.
It's so nice to be able to pull a delicious breakfast out of the fridge or freezer when I am going out the door knowing very well that it will be quite a while before my next meal.
So instead of becoming a breakfast drama queen (ahem) when I don’t have a lot of time in the morning, I enjoy one of these bars that's almost like a healthy dessert for breakfast.
Look how easy they are to make. Just get out your mixing bowl and start adding the ingredients.
9 basic ingredients to be exact. It is helpful to pre-score an indentation into the bars before baking so that they are easier to cut into nice squares.

They're that ideal healthy treat that compliments your hot morning drink and gives you that delicious, satisfying feeling.
These bars are also fiber-rich filled with healthy grains from the oats and the whole wheat pastry flour.
They are so simple to make, and you can have a whole pan turned out in very little time.

They are favorite on-the-go breakfast bars but they also make an excellent quick snack in the middle of a workday.
